Hello everyone! Welcome to my personal blog. I'm Zavier Tsiflitzis and I've been teaching English since 2009. I was born in Melbourne but raised in Greece. I'm a bilingual EFL teacher with a CELTA and a DELTA module 2 diploma.
I am the owner of a Foreign Languages School in Thessaloniki, Greece. I have lived and studied in England for 4 years and I have worked as a teacher and a Director of Studies at various summer schools spread around the UK.
The purpose of this blog is to help teachers and school owners overcome difficulties. Whether you are a Native Speaker, or a Non-Native Speaker, this blog is addressed to everyone that resides in Greece struggling to plant their seeds in the classroom! Teachers from abroad might also find this useful for their work.
My intention is to bring up the problems that we face in the Greek reality. I am going to examine and analyse these problems so as to understand the "why" and "how". Specifically, problems related to teaching, pedagogy and even management. Finally, I will try to give solutions that come from my research, experience, drive and passion.
